4700uF 50 watt polarized electrolytic capacitor with axial leads are easily soldered in to many applications relating to automotive lighting and aftermarket HID systems. Some vehicles require a capacitor to supply the necessary power to let the vehicle know there is a bulb when converting from halogen to HID. Other common uses are to smooth out the current with aftermarket HID systems when using an HID wiring harness on the OEM trigger input side.
Common vehicles in which a capacitor or “cap” can be necessary: Jeep, Ford, Dodge and more.
