Genuine – Our Bi-Xenon HID bulbs give you a true HID (xenon) for your low AND high beams. Many other companies try and sell you a “hi/lo” bulb with a halogen “piggy back” just to say you still have a high beam but that halogen isn’t nearly half as bright as just the low beam HID from HID Kit Pros! The key component of all HID ballasts is the “controller” which controls all functions from the initial ignition to continually ensuring the xenon gas inside the bulb stays ignited. The quality of every ballast starts with the controller inside.
There are two kinds of controllers used inside a xenon HID ballast:
1. CPU Controller
2. ASIC Controller
1. CPU Controller: All HID ballasts made in China or Taiwan use a CPU programming controller, the program is easy to copy, and the machine to create them can cost roughly $3,000 to buy, therefore any engineer could make a ballast in his living-room. With such low barrier to entry in the market, many are rapidly creating low quality ballasts and offering a very cheap price in order to earn more profit. A CPU controller cannot monitor the HID lamp (lamp power continually changes), and the lamp power does not properly correspond with the CPU program and ends up burning out the ballast. The defect rate is much higher and the ballast life is short with a CPU controlled ballast system.
2. ASIC Controller: HYLUX’s ballast uses an ASIC chip controller which is created without a program inside, the same way HELLA & Matsushita manufacture their ballasts. ASIC chip is difficult to design and in turn comes with an expensive price tag. HYLUX spent nearly $600,000 to develop the chip which is made with powerful components of real-time lamp-monitoring & power compensation with full-time ballast protection circuitry. HYLUX now manufactures and produces ballasts for top names in lighting from Philips to Matsushita with the highest quality components. Went with a 35w kit for my Toyota Tundra and wow what an upgrade! completely plug and play, didnt realize the instructions were online as they did not come wiht any on the box. Great quality componets, hylux is one of the top names and the bulbs by cnlight provide a nice bright pure white output

got these as part of a kit for my 2018 4runner and also previous truck (tundra), these are rock solid ballasts, look good, perform well and havent had a single issue (ebay junk one would turn on and then the other). They are definitely pricer than i used to pay off amazon but i wont go back to cheap junk after these, do it once, do it right and i never have to mess with the wifes headlights again.

Replaced my XB35 ballasts from morimoto with hylux after reading all the poor reviews about morimoto recently, best decision i have made. always turn on, even in neg. temps in Alaska. no annoying loud buzzing. quality ballasts, much happier with these.
