Product Description
Load – Resistors simulate the load of a regular filament bulb whether it be used in LED or HID applications. This will solve LED related turn signal light or license plate light problems such as hyper flashing, no flashing or burnt out bulb indications.
Built – HKP™ load resistors also work perfectly to simulate a standard incandescent bulb for vehicles that give you a bulb out warning when installing any aftermarket HID kit or LED bulb. While not required, some prefer to have the regular flashing speed oppose to a rapidly flashing indicator in their dash and rapidly flashing bulbs.
Necessity – One resistor is required for each turn signal bulb, license plate light bulb, etc.; as well as HID bulbs. (two per side if using hi/lo). Our resistors include a pair of wire-taps to easily tap into your factory wiring without leaving messy wires behind.
Applications – Check out our new resistor harnesses and resistor relay harness to make HID installations requiring resistors, a breeze! Resistors are not installed inside of LED bulbs due to the heat produced from a resistor; heat is the leading cause of LED chip failure. - 50w 6-Ohm perfect for most HID and high power LED related applications: turn signals, 3157/7443/1157, 35W/55W HID systems, etc.
- 25w 8-Ohm perfect for most small LED related applications: T10, festoon, etc.
Installation
- Resistors can get very hot; mount them away from any plastic or hoses.
