Built – Designed, created and named with space in mind. The 4-SMD “Flat4” T10/194 wedge base style LED bulbs from HKP™ feature a shorter overall length compared to an original T10/194 incandescent bulb allowing them to be beneficial in applications with tight space. Each bulb features 4x 3528 SMD style LED chips giving the bulb the name; FLAT4.
Budgeted – Don’t take that the wrong way! These LED bulbs are still rated to last 50,000 hours but we’ve made them cost effective given they are the perfect option for upgrading dash/instrument cluster lamps which tend to take quite a few bulbs. This is the most cost effective way to upgrade many bulbs to LED without breaking the bank.
SMD – SMD or “surface mount device” is a type of LED “light emitting diode” which is technology that brought LED to where it stands today; it has been around for a long time and is made to last. Each one of our bulbs features 4x chips strategically placed for optimal light output.
Options – Color options can get confusing, especially with so many variations of the same color, we get it. We offer 3 different shades of white (warm white, pure white and cool white) as well as various other colors. A pure white is going to give off no yellow and no blue, simply a pure bright white output matching closest to a 5000k HID bulb. A cool white bulb will provide a slight hue of blue as you would see generally on a newer Audi and will match closest to a 6000k HID bulb. Warm white provides the most amount of light output with a more yellow output closest to a factory halogen/incandescent or 4300k HID bulb.
Installation – Could not be easier; simply remove your factory wedge base bulb and install the Flat4 LED bulb the same way. Note that LED bulbs are polarity sensitive meaning if the bulb does not light up when inserted one way, remove the bulb, flip it 180 degrees and reinsert the bulb.
