Quality – The A2088 35W Quick Start HYLUX HID replacement ballasts with D2 connectors are 100% waterproof and fully sealed in electrically-safe sealant which is also known as “potting”. Many electronic ballasts are simply coated with a protection sealant, not HYLUX. HYLUX ballasts are fully sealed to the top allowing for a waterproof and shockproof digital HID ballast. Replace your factory ballasts with a product that is designed with OEM specifications to perform and last from HYLUX with a much lesser of a price tag and longer warranty compared to the original equipment.

Compatibility – This version of the A2088 ballast features a D2 connector versus a standard aftermarket ballast which has AMP connections. If your vehicle uses a D2S or D2R factory bulb, this is the ballast for you. If you have an aftermarket HID system that uses a standard bulb with amp connections such as a 9006, H11, etc, check out the HYLUX A2088 AMP ballasts. These are not a direct replacement for a factory ballast but will simply need to be tapped in to the negative and positive wire leads from your factory ballast and that’s it!
Components – The key component of all HID ballast is the “controller” which controls all functions from the initial ignition to continually ensuring the xenon gas inside the bulb stays ignited. The quality of every ballast starts with the controller inside. With the OEM-grade external 23kV igniter, which is also fully waterproof along with the entire ballast itself, this ballast will strike the bulb perfectly, every single time. Thankful to find these, could not find a genuine hylux ballast that uses the d2s socket anywhere, I got tired of having so many connections to make this ballast work in place of my factory ballast, the connectors kept getting wet and shorting out. have had one of these hylux ballast son each side for 3 years now, zero issues. they have outlived the factory junk in my acura TL.
